V\u00f6gel stellen auch das Reservoir da. Wiederholt kommt es zu einem enzootischen \u201eAmselsterben\u201c (zum Beispiel im Jahr 2018). Das Virus wird durch Stechm\u00fccken \u00fcbertragen.
